Its interesting how those carved leaf designs in your picture start looking like faces with eyes and mouths the further away you get. When I first looked at the picture I thought that they were gargoyles or something, but then looking closely see something else. Cool.
Warran - What surprised me was the bits of green. They don't stick on in this picture, but in the sunshine there are patches of green paint on certain accents that really make them stand out.
QuiltedDogs - I didn't get any shots of the cranes, but I did sit and watch them for a couple minutes. Fairly mind boggling. :)
Thanks for the memory -- my uncle had a law office in what was at one time, the classiest office address in all of AZ, W---A---Y back in the far distant past.

Hey, that's right across the street from my office building. Too bad Phoenix doesn't have too many old buildings.
Did you take any shots of the cranes working on the new building catty corner from the Luhrs?

GrannyJ - still a pretty darn class building. :)
Nice shot. There are a few older building remaining in downtown Phoenix that have personality.
Dagny - Thanks. Yeah, there aren't a lot of old ones left, but those few definitely have character.
