A wild safari

We hung out for a total of about four hours. I clicked 220 exposures, and kept a whopping 22! Chain link fencing made picture taking a bit of a chore, and I quickly found the limits of my 200mm lens, but we soldiered on. The wind blasted us with dirt and sand the whole time. I did however get to kiss a giraffe, so it wasn’t all hardships. :)

Here are my favorite pics from our weekend trip to the wildlife park.

A little cat nap:

My wife and I went out there last fall, but we didn't wait late enough in the year and got a bit zapped by the heat. We definitely want to go back again.

Were you there for the predator feed?

Kitty - Thanks! Yeah, animals make great subjects, especially when they hold still. :)

Ric - we were there for the predator feed, but quickly got fed up with the hordes of people, so decided to go for a safari tour instead.
