I survived

Well I survived the camping trip to Wickenburg this weekend. We three had a great time and some unbelievable scenery. I’m still downloading pics and editing, but rest assured they will make it here within the week. Somehow Sadira got a post and pics up the very same day we got back. Talk about industrious!

The weather there was mild. Cool in the evening (it dipped just below freezing Saturday night), and warm during the days (probably low 70s), which made for great hiking.

I do have to say… it is different camping with girls. Lots of inside jokes which I was very much on the outside of. And at times it seemed like they were speaking in tongues. Very high-pitched tongues.

They brought products which boys would never be caught camping with (lotion? pajamas?). But regardless of all the femininity in the air we had a blast.

I was introduced to cottage cheese with salsa ala Sadira, which ROCKED! We cooked up some burgers with onions and mushrooms which kicked a small amount of ass. And we had some so-so chicken with (not-quite)baked potatoes. We had lunch at Anita’s in wickenburg which was some rockin’ good mexican food, then rolled ourselves home.

Yes...I'm industrious like that. Actually, I had unpacked, cleaned and then realized I cleaned the house before I left...so, I had some extra time on my hands and decided to blog...because isn't that what everyone does with extra time?

I had a FANTASTIC time...and as far as the food? Too good for words...and the PJ's, they came in handy for those of us whom are confused about which side of the sleeping bag to sleep in...and you totally forgot to mention the mascara and my butane curling iron!

Ummm... when I have extra time I normally am not blogging. :)

We had a great time as well, thanks for joining! :)

I can see bad things with a butane curling iron.

That's funny about the girls. High-pitched tongues.

Funny isn't the word I would use. Deafening perhaps. Maddening? Maybe. Funny? No.
