Born here. Raised here. Love this little town:
Prescott, as seen from out Perkinsville road late one night. Light painted with my little headlamp.

So, ever since Operation Shaggy Christmas concluded last year I’ve had this look:
But it’s that time of year again. I’ve gone and shaved off the goatee to start this years Christmas beard:
Hopefully it grows in at least as well as last year. :)

We pull off the highway, we see water and want to get closer. As we drive over the small concrete bridge, we see a forest of pine trees. A forest of JUST pine trees. There is something odd about the whole thing. This is a tree farm. I immediately think we should take car photos.
I normally forget to take family photos, so this time I made it a point to sit everybody down for a few snaps, as well as getting a few random shots.
Dad, Suzy, Myself, and Chris. A.K.A. ‘The Fam’:
Dad, Suzy, and the Dogs. Getting all three dogs to sit still for even a moment? Nearly impossible:

Chris, beginning to get mildly irritated at me for continuously asking him to look at the camera while driving:

These are the people that made the vacation worthwhile. Thanks to them for such a great time!
Oh my god, I think I might be done with sorting / editing / uploading vacation photos! I’ve whittled it down from ~600 shots to a meager 85 or so. Some artsy, others not. Mostly a whole bunch of random.
So forgive me, as I dump a bunch of picture-filled posts on the blog while everything is fresh in my mind. Then I can move onto all the other photos filling up my memory cards. :)
Where my dad lives there are two types of dogs.
The type that are ‘yours’.
Like Choco:
and Lucy:
and Sam:
And then there are the ‘Neighborhood’ dogs. They come over for a while, hang out, get a cookie, and then meander on to another house.
Molly:

Smoky:
Milo:
And the newest addition to the local pack, a boxer who had no tags. Chris wanted to bring this little guy home with us:

Not even close to having vacation photos ready, so here is a shot from a hike along the Peavine from a few weeks ago:
3 exposure handheld HDR.
Had a ton of fun on vacation. I knew I would be pretty wiped out today, so took the day off of work. Talk about an awesome idea! I’m currently wading through ~500 photos to sort and edit, and ~800 blog posts to read. This will take most of the day. :)
And so far, this is the coolest thing I’ve seen all day:

Chris and I will be driving out to Oklahoma to see my dad and step-mom next week. I’ve got a whole week off of work, and 17 hours in the car with my best friend each way. Add a camera into that mix, and hopefully I’ll have something interesting to show and tell by the end of the month.
So in the meantime – kids playing the new Dirt2 videogame at its premier get a high-octane surprise. Namely, a ride with Ken Block. HAHAHAHA:
Walking to town and I see a street closure. I stroll by to see what the occasion is. To my delight there is a car show going on, and I just happen to have my camera.
I take a single shot before my phone rings, it’s Chris. He needs my help with something. I walk to my truck and drive home, hoping my one shot was worthwhile.
Work is busy, so just a few quick links:

Texts from last night – oh my god the humor is nearly killing me.
The seats are empty. The smell of food has yet to infuse into the building. It has yet to develop any character.
