And now, it is actually official

I’ve left home. Or, rather, I’ve changed the definition of home. Today I did my last load of laundry at mom’s house and piled everything into the 4Runner. It is ridiculous how much stuff I have packed in this vehicle. I wonder how I will sleep in here, but thankfully that is not a worry for tonight.

Tonight I sleep at my Uncle Donnie’s house in Kingman. I haven’t seen him in years, and so getting the chance to catch up with him today has been wonderful. Who knows, I might even stay tomorrow night.

Anywho, I’m exhausted from a trip to the gym this morning and an emotional drive away from what has always been home. I’m going to bed.

In case you were curious what a young man looks like when he realizes that he just left it all behind, here it is:

Tombo, you look so sad! But I know the adventure of your "trek" will soon have you smiling again. As for "maybe staying another night", just remember you don't have any schedule, no need to be anywhere, enjoy yourself and don't forget to "stop and smell the flowers!"

I've said it a million times and I'll say it again. You are just so incredibly awesome for doing this. I can't even imagine how terrible and wonderful and changing this time will be for you. I wish you nothing but the best!!

Catalyst - It was definitely hard to pull out of the driveway, which is silly considering I've spent the last few years waiting for this to happen. :) Smelling the flowers is pretty high on my priority list as of now.

Melissa - You are far too kind, as always. I'll be giving you a call probably later this week. I've got a few days in phoenix lined up, then a few in oceanside hopefully, and then it will up to LA. Sooooo excited.

I'm not sure if that's a sad face...but more of a face of someone who's about to jump into the abyss of life! I am so excited for you and your new journey!
