It's Meat!! But what cut of meat is it? It was nothing I've ever cooked before:
After marinating all night in a spicy blend of beer, cumin, cayenne, black pepper, fresh garlic, and paprika I set this little number in the slow cooker with some aromatics. This is what I got to smell when I left for the day:
I had intended to put carrot into the mix as well, but they had been in the fridge a bit to long. They were pliable:
A few other photos taken:
Some colorful flowers that I bought for DaNece, they turned the water bright PURPLE!
And I even gave a whirl to capturing DaNece's 45mm lense:

Dinosaur tongue?
:) Close enough! My first time prepping and cooking a cow tongue. Hopefully I will get home tonight and it will be delicious!
Cow tongue? Holy crap. Let me know how that turns out. I see that in the store all the time and I never even thought about actually eating it.
Mike - My roomate got it from his uncle's farm. You should have seen DaNece's face when I told her I was going to eat it..
She made me wait until she left the house to cut the skin (and bristly tastebuds) off it. I'll definitely do a post to let everybody know how it is. :)
Interesting carrot!
So, how was the food???
Gadget - The food turned out REALLY good. There will be a post in the coming day or two with much more details. My roommate is the head cook at a local restaurant, so he came up with an interesting way to turn it into a meal. It didn't really show-case the tongue, but was ridiculously tasty nonetheless.
