Wow, that's a powerful array of images on that website. I was shocked that everyone was literally looking down on him, but of course they would, wouldn't they? How I must take it for granted that I am lucky enough to have legs and therefore to be looked in the eye.
Kitty - It's the little things that make the biggest difference in our perception. I love in the artist's statement how he talks about everybody making up a story for his legs being gone. Anywhere from thinking he was in Iraq to rare blood diseases. People make up scenarios to cope with what they are seeing.
